Kanye West On Pace To Sell 450-500K “Heartbreak” Units (Who Is The King Of Hip-Hop Now)?

It’s time for a change in our government and also apparently in our music. Kanye West has single handedly spearheaded a change in the sound of music with his latest studio album “808s & Heartbreak” that features the infectious hits “Love Lockdown” and “Heartless.” According to Hits Daily Double, the album is on pace to move 450k - 500k units in its first week (hitting stores Thanksgiving Day week, and a day early).

Which bring us to our next point of who is the real king of hip-hop? Lil’ Wayne moved 1 Million units of his Carter III album earlier this year and Kanyeeze did half those numbers. We can’t help but think what first week numbers 50 Cent would put up now, or even Jay-Z’s new album Blueprint III coming out next year.
